Hi there! Hope everyone’s day is going fabulous. I feel like I have been busier than ever this holiday season, and I love it honestly. With all of the holiday parties, tying up loose ends before the 31st and staying diligent on my workout programs, I am finding that time with friends and loved ones is becoming more and more precious.
This season, I am learning a lot of intentionality when it comes to friends. And I love that, because you need to be intentional, rather than passive, with the people you’re investing in. Finding a likeminded group of people to go through life is something I can say is already on my 2018 Resolution List. (Is it too early to start planning that?)
Recently, my good friend Allison started Are You Coming Too?. This initiative is founded on the idea of likeminded Christian women in the Dallas area coming together to form a bond and create fellowship.
AYCT was based on the idea of feeling of belonging when someone leans over and says “Are you coming too?”. I know I’m not alone when I say it gives me this warm-fuzzy feeling when someone looks at me and says that, especially if I am in a place where I don’t know a lot of people.
Basically this group is for girls in their 20s who want to grow and network with other likeminded women in the Dallas area. This is not a Bible study; but, it does involve stepping out of your comfort zone and meeting new people.
I, personally, like the idea of growing my friend base because I currently have about four people I regularly hang out with. Plus, we could all use a few more friends in our lives, am I right?
